JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — Jamestown Metal Products located at 178 Blackstone Avenue in Jamestown is set to layoff nearly half of its workforce according to a WARN notice.
The WARN notice which was filed on February 5th states 37 of the 77 total employees will be impacted by the layoffs.
Jamestown Metal Products is a division of Institutional Casework and manufactures painted steel, stainless steel and wood fixtures, fume hoods and work surfaces.
The reason given is listed as "economic," layoffs will start on May 8th.
