BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of New York says a Jamestown man has pleaded guilty to a judge for receiving child pornography.
Investigators say 30-year-old Shane Guay solicited photos in November 2016 of a 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl at the time on Instagram.
According to law enforcement officers, investigators recovered 587 images and five videos of child pornography on electronic devices.
Some of the images included prepubescent children and depictions of violence.
When sentenced, Guay will receive a minimum of five years in prision, and maximum of 20, as well as a $250,000 fine.
Guay is scheduled to be sentenced on April 1st, 2021.
