Jamestown man indicted after making violent threats towards federal law enforcement officer

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Jamestown man accused of making violent online threats towards a Department of Homeland Security officer was charged last week.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, on April 30, 2025, 43-year-old Matthew White allegedly threatened to assault and murder the Homeland Security Officer in a social media post.

White was arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy and released on conditions. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
