Jail cook focus of prison contraband investigation

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — A jail cook is under arrest, accused of promoting Prison Contraband.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old Kayleigh M. Tuttle is accused of bringing contraband into the jail and passing that contraband onto inmates. Deputies say the investigation was the result of information collected by Corrections Officers following a two week investigation.

Tuttle has now been suspended pending an departmental investigation and hearing. Deputies say further charges are pending against the inmates involved.

The Sheriff's Office says due to the nature of the alleged acts, the ongoing criminal investigation, and pending departmental charges, no further information will be released at this time
