BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — It's official. Duff's is spreading its wings in Buffalo.
Duff's Famous Wings has finalized a long-term lease with Sinatra and Company Real Estate to open a new location at 471 Elmwood Avenue in the longtime home of Casa Di Pizza.
The original owners of the Sheridan Drive location in the Town of Tonawanda are teaming up with franchise owners Greg Duell and Kirk Feather to operate the Buffalo restaurant, which will be the seventh Duff's in Western New York.
"It's very exciting to get this done," said Duell. "We've been keeping an eye on the city of Buffalo. It's great to find the right spot."
A restaurant will occupy the first floor, with a banquet area available on the second floor.
The Elmwood site will also offer a number of items not available at other Duff's locations, including brick oven pizza.
Construction is expected to take eight to nine months, putting the new restaurant on track to open next fall.
