BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — With the lack of in person interviewing available, those on the job search will have to make an impression through video chats.

StaffBuffalo, "a certified women-owned (Women's Business Enterprise), full-service professional staffing firm, providing executive, direct hire, and contract staffing solutions for employers in Buffalo, N.Y. and the surrounding areas," has some tips to help you nail the interview.

"You're going to want to treat this like an in person interview," Lauren Lewis of StaffBuffalo said. "Dress professionally, look professionally."

That means, dress from head to toe like it's an in-person interview.

You'll also want to make sure that any distractions, whether those are from a child or animal, to posters or images behind you.

Having a clean, distraction-free environment.

"Clear the clutter, you don't want that to hinder you from getting a job," Lewis said.

In addition to appearance, make sure that you are at the computer 15 minutes prior to the interview starting.

This extra level of preparedness is something that is needed when interviewing in the comfort of your own home.
