NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — Niagara Falls police announced Saturday an inmate was found unresponsive and was then pronounced dead at the Niagara Falls City Jail.
Police say Friday during a routine visual check the inmate was found unresponsive. Emergency medical services and the Niagara Falls Fire Department responded but the inmate was pronounced dead.
The individual's identity is not being released at this time, police say the investigation is ongoing.
No further information was released.
