BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — An Erie County Sheriff Deputy remains off duty after being punched by an inmate.
Police tell us 28-year old Montek Maston punched a Deputy in the head at the Erie County Holding Center while being escorted on Friday, June 21st. Several other deputies responded to help restrain the inmate. The Deputy who was attacked and a second Deputy were treated and released from the Erie County Medical Center. The inmate was also treated and released.
Maston was in the holding center on a parole violation and weapons charge. He now faces two additional charges of felony assault and administrative charges from the Jail Management Division.
