LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Lockport City School District announced there will be an increased police presence at the high school Friday, December 13th, following a threat discovered Thursday.

The district says an anonymous handwritten message was discovered on a bathroom stall wall in the high school which included a threat to school safety.

"The District treats all threats seriously and immediately referred this matter to local law enforcement authorities, who are currently investigating the matter. The District is fully cooperating with the investigation. At this point, we are not able to determine whether the message constitutes a credible threat."
