BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — There are one thousand ways to enjoy a hot dog. The Buffalo Bisons are giving you the chance to share your favorite one with thousands of Western New Yorkers.
The team has launched what it's calling the "Top Your Dog" contest. It will run in two phases.
Phase 1 (July 9 - July 30): you submit your hot dog with its own name, choosing up to four toppings and including any special instructions
Phase 2 (August 5 - August 16): the submissions, now whittled down to a top 10 by hot dog experts at Sahlen's and at the ballpark, are voted on by the fans
Here's what will happen if you're the winner:
- the Bisons will serve your hot dog at Sahlen Field on Monday, August 26
- you'll throw out the first pitch at the game
- you'll get 20 tickets to the game
- you'll get 40 vouchers for hot dogs, so your friends can check out your dog
- you'll get free Sahlen's hot dogs for one year and a Sahlen's prize pack
