Housekeeper allegedly steals diamond ring from elderly Clarence woman

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York State police say a housekeeper has been arrested after she allegedly stole a diamond ring from an elderly Clarence woman.

On June 4 state police responded to a residence on Vinecroft Drive in Clarence for the report of a larceny, the 87-year-old victim said a valuable diamond ring was taken from the residence.

State police say after a further investigation with video evidence and pawn shop cooperation the ring was located.

51-year-old Jody Jaworowicz of Depew turned herself in and was arrested August 3 according to police.

Jaworowicz faces two charges, grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree. She was issued appearance tickets for Town of Clarence Court.
