BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — The formal dedication of the Lock Tender statues took place Saturday in Lockport.

The life sized bronze sculptures are part of a new monument from a photograph that was taken 124 years ago.

The Lockport Locks are a major tourist attraction in Niagara County, as people remember the crucial role the Erie Canal and the locks had on our history and growth here in Western New York.
