TOWN OF GERRY, N.Y. (WKBW) — A police chase in Chautauqua County has lead to the DWI arrest of a Gerry man.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, deputies were assisting the Jamestown Police Department locate the car of a suspect involved in an altercation in Jamestown. Deputies found the car traveling at a high speed away from the city.
The pursuit continued through the Towns of Ellicott, Poland and Gerry. Deputies deployed spike strips to stop the speeding car, and found 32-year-old Aaron Monroe of the Town of Gerry. They say he was intoxicated.
Monroe was charged with DWI, Fail to Comply, Passed Red Signal among a dozen other charges. He was turned over to Jamestown Police department for additional charges stemming from the original altercation.
