ConnectLife is holding a special blood drive at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the Tops on Maple Road in Amherst.
Blood donors won't be the only people there, as a local superhero will be on hand to help.
Buffalo's Best Batman will make an appearance to take pictures from a safe distance.
The blood drive comes weeks after ConnectLife announced it will allow more people to donate under new guidelines from the FDA.
People who were deferred because of military travel, visiting areas where malaria is present and for having tattoos and piercings can now donate.
Nearly a dozen hospitals in Western New York rely directly on ConnectLife for their blood supply.
The blood drive runs until 3 o'clock Friday afternoon.
