AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Amherst police say there was a heavy police presence in the area of Sheridan Drive and Country Parkway just after 9 a.m. Thursday.
According to police, there was no immediate threat to the public, police were assisting the Erie County Sheriff's Department with a civil matter.
No further information is available but police say the investigation continues.
