BUFFALO, N.Y. WKBW) — Unyts will be one of the sponsors of the 2019 Donate Life float in the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California this year, and a special representative will be present on the float.

Timothy Day, a husband, father of three, and former police officer from Kenmore who received a heart transplant in 2015 will be featured as a rider on this year's float.

“With nearly 115,000 people currently waiting for a lifesaving transplant, we are grateful to be a part of this year’s Donate Life float, to bring worldwide attention to the need for more people to register as donors, and by doing so, help make an impact in the lives of many,” said Mark J. Simon, President and CEO of Unyts. “We look forward to showcasing the story of our participant, Tim Day, and we hope to inspire others to add registering as a donor to their list of resolutions for 2019.”
