NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — The murder of Terri Lynn Bills, 46, in June 2015 sent shock waves through Niagara Falls after her dismembered torso was found dumped in the basement of a dilapidated home.

Many wondered if the murderer was the same person who killed Loretta Gates, 30, and dismembered her body in 2012. The Gates murder is also unsolved at this point.

Those questions could be answered as there are indications that law enforcement has a suspect in custody for Bills' murder.

While the Niagara County District Attorney and the Niagara County Sheriff's Office are neither confirming nor denying any information, reports published in the Niagara Gazette say Yasin Abdu-Sabur, 36, will be charged in the death of Terri Lynn Bills.

7 Eyewitness News was able to confirm through online sources that someone of the same name was booked at the Niagara County jail on Friday February 28th.

Abdu-Sabur was previously behind bars after being arrested by the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office on charges of 2nd Degree Domestic Violence in South Carolina.

It is believed the suspect will appear in Niagara County Court in front of Hon. Sara Sheldon on Tuesday morning March 3, 2020.
