ALBANY, N.Y. (WKBW) — A new Siena Poll found a majority of registered New York State voters think Governor Andrew Cuomo has made the state a better place to live in his nine years as governor.
The poll, released Tuesday morning, found that margin to be 51% to 39%.
Making up the majority:
- Democrats
- black voters
- Latino voters
- Jewish voters
- voters from New York City
But Republicans overwhelmingly say he’s made the state worse, as do independents and voters upstate, pollsters said.
New York voters also gave the governor his lowest-ever favorability rating (43% to 50%) and his lowest-ever job performance rating (34% to 64%).
