BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo man has been convicted of Attempted Murder that happened earlier this year. It took a jury less than five hours to find Daniel Cain guilty.

Cain was convicted of attacking a man inside his home on Howlett Street in Buffalo on March 9th. Prosecutors say the victim was stabbed in the chest with a knife, before Cain turned the knife on himself.

The victim needed emergency surgery on his heart, and has had several surgeries since the attack.

Cain faces up to 25 years in prison. He is being held without bail, and will be sentenced on December 20th.
