TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — A familiar sight along the 290 in the Town of Tonawanda is gone, but not for good.
The Town of Tonawanda took down the Paddock Chevrolet Golf Dome between around 6 a.m. Wednesday.
The current dome, which is about 20 years old, will be replaced with a new dome featuring upgraded material, said Town of Tonawanda Superintendent of Parks and Recreation Mark Campanella, Sr.
The turf for the driving range and miniature golf areas will also be replaced as part of the $2.5 million project funded by bonds.
The town maintains the dome. Paddock has a multi-year naming rights contract.
The new dome is expected to be complete by November.
