BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — 38-year-old Mallicia U. Tipps was stabbed and killed by her ex-boyfriend inside the Sears at the McKinley Mall, a GoFundMe has been established for her three children.
The GoFundMe which was established by a family member reads:
It is with heavy hearts that we must lay our beloved Mallicia to rest. Her life was intentionally and undeservingly taken from this earth by another person on September 25, 2019. Although she is no longer with us on this earth, her beautiful spirit will live on with us forever. Mallicia was only 38 years old. She was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin. Mallicia loved her family and lived for her children. Mallicia is survived by many family members but most importantly by her three beautiful teenagers whose father was also taken from this earth years ago by violence. This Go Fund Me is for her children.

In a press release earlier this week, Hamburg police said crews tried to save Tipps, who was stabbed several times. Crews "worked on" Tipps for 15 minutes, they say, but her injuries were too severe.
Tipps' ex-boyfriend, 43-year-old Keith Sparks, was taken into custody after he surrendered to police after an hours-long stand-off in Niagara Falls that night.
Sparks was in Hamburg Town Court Thursday where he pleaded not guilty to murder in second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. He is due back in court Tuesday.
