POMFRET, N.Y. (WKBW) — A GoFundMe page has been set up for the Cassadaga girl killed in a car crash in Pomfret Monday.

State Police said seven-year-old Emmaline A. Wilcox and her mom were traveling north on Route 60, and were waiting to make a left hand turn, when they were rear-ended, pushed into oncoming traffic, and hit by a tractor trailer traveling southbound. Wilcox and her mother were transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital where Emmaline died. Police said her mother was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Emmaline was a first grader at Cassadaga Valley's Sinclairville Elementary School. Her older brother attends the Middle School. Grief counselors were on hand at both buildings Tuesday following the tragedy.

According to the GoFundMe page, a viewing will occur from 5-8 pm on Friday February 28, and the funeral will be held Saturday at 1 pm at Jordan Funeral Home in Sinclairville.

The crash remains under investigation. So far, no charges have been filed.
