BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — The Erie County Medical Center is getting a face lift of sorts.
Those giant "E-C-M-C" letters were removed from the 12th floor of the building Saturday on Grider Street in Buffalo.
A crane was used to remove the 14 foot by 14 foot letters.
The letters will now be refurbished, adding new energy efficient, color changing led lights.
The new letters will be hoisted back into place when the work is finished over the next two or three months.
