Getzville woman arrested after alcohol, drugs found at teen house party

AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Getzville woman has been arrested and charged after alcohol and marijuana were found at her home during an underage party.

According to Amherst police, an anonymous complainant reported that around 30 teens were having a party at a home on King Anthony Way on Friday night. They reported alcohol and marijuana were present at the party.

Police say several teens ran from the home as officers arrived. While investigating, officers detected the smell of marijuana and found several empty alcohol bottles.

Amherst police found eight individuals under the age of 16 inside the home. The teenagers were turned over to the their parents/guardians.

The homeowner, 37-year-old Danielle Dziura, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Police say she also had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Dziura was arraigned in court and is expected to appear again on August 21.

Child Protective Services were also called.
