Wind Chills Warnings and Advisories in place for WNY

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Tune up those snowblowers.

Winter Weather Advisory for Niagara and Orleans county through 11am Monday. Additional accumulations between 3-5". Gusty winds, will create blowing and drifting snow, plus the addition of arctic air will cause bitter wind chills. Additional accumulations between 1-3".

A Wind Chill Warning is in effect for Southern Erie, Wyoming, Cattaraugus, and Allegany Counties now through 7pm Monday. Wind chill values of -15 to -35 expected.
A Wind Chills Advisory is in effect for Northern Erie, Genesee, Niagara and Orleans now through 7PM Monday. Wind chill values as low as -20F.

An arctic plunge along with the snow will blow through the region this weekend. Here's how this all plays out.

MONDAY:

LOW: -3

BONE CHILLING COLD to start off Monday. We're talking temperatures across much of the region below zero. It will feel closer to -30F in some spots.

Other than wanting to stay under the sheets in bed for a majority of your Monday, expect some lingering snow showers.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny and not as cold. High 29

WEDNESDAY: Rain showers with milder temperatures. Highs near 40.
