BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Community groups are helping children have as close to a normal holiday season as possible.

The Elmwood Village Association set up a holiday "Seflie Station" outside Thin Ice on Elmwood Avenue on Saturday.

Kids could take a picture with Santa, who was on the other side of the window. They also dropped off letters, telling him what they want for Christmas this year.

"It's such a different year," says Therese Dutchland, President of the Elmwood Village Association. "To have so many more kids out on Elmwood this year, it just brings a lot of cheer that we're lacking and that we need."

The cheer doesn't stop there. For a $15 dollar donation, kids can get a personalized video message from Santa, courtesy of the Elmwood Village Association. All you have to do is fill out a form here. You will get your message by December 21st. All proceeds go back to the Elmwood Village.
