BATAVIA, N.Y. (WKBW) — A man has been arrested for falsely reporting a gas station explosion in Genesee County.
Authorities say 31-year-old William Devos of Oakfield turned himself in to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office after he allegedly told employees of a Citgo Gas Station in Batavia that an explosion was about to occur.
Devos was processed and released from Genesee County Jail, upon being charged with falsely reporting an incident in the second degree.
He is expected to appear in Town of Batavia Court on February 6th at 1 p.m.
