KENMORE, N.Y. (WKBW) — Saturday morning scurrying from home to home trying to find the best deal, for many it's a great summertime tradition. It’s a tradition that will change, whether it be at the World's Largest Yard Sale or the Kenmore Gigantic Garage Sale.

The World's Largest Yard Sale, which happens at the Hamburg Fairgrounds every year, has already pushed back until September. The Kenmore Gigantic Garage Sale which was scheduled for next week, Is now canceled.

“We talked about the safety. We're talking about a lot of people coming to their homes,” said Melisa Foster, the President of the Kenmore Village Improvement Society.

For smaller garage sales, the state doesn't directly ban them during the New York Pause order. The order does say, “Non-essential gatherings of individuals of any size for any reason are canceled or postponed at this time.”

Still want to sell your stuff or even just get rid of it? You can sell it online or donate it.

“There are clothing bins all over the place,” added Foster. “Church parking lots and even gas stations, and of course in Kenmore, we have the KenTon Closet.”
