VILLAGE OF FREDONIA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Big plans are in the making for small businesses in the Village of Fredonia, as the area was one of the final ten towns to be featured on a reality show.

The reality show Small Business Revolutionhelps revitalize and highlight the importance of small businesses all over the country, and they chose Fredonia and nine other communities out of 4,000 applicants.

East Main Cafe is one of the 40 businesses in town that could be featured on the fifth Season of Small Business Revolution.

"Local small businesses are the people within your community," said co-owner Nate Manning. "And that's just the overall what Fredonia is about, it's rallying around the small community, around the small businesses."

To support East Main Cafe and other local businesses, use #myfredonia when you share posts on social media. With support from the community, Fredonia could win and have the whole season shot in town.

The community would also get half a million dollars invested into it.

"We still have a strong base of small businesses, and this is an opportunity to help those small businesses grow," said Todd Tranum, President and CEO of the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce.

"We're just regular people you know, we're not corporate people, we're not in three-piece suits in an office somewhere," said East Main Cafe owner Bob Manning. "We're just local people that live in the town just trying to help out the people and give them a good product here in town."

The next step for the town is to make it to the top five. That will be announced on January 14, and that's when you would be able to vote at votemyfredonia.com.

The winning town will be announced on January 28.
