FREDONIA, N.Y. (WKBW) — If you voted for Fredonia to be on Small Business Revolution, it paid off. The town just scored the chance to be on a reality show that gives makeovers to small businesses.

It's big deal for a town full of small businesses, like the Cakery which has been a part of this community for more than 30 years. Owner Peggy Rose said excited to possibly get a chance to makeover her business.

"I'm blown away by everything that they're going to be able to help us do being from the marketing sense," she said.

We caught up with Nate Manning who owns East Main Cafe, another business hoping to be featured on the show. Manning said he was impressed by how well the win was kept a secret.

Small Business Revolution co-host Amanda Brinkman usually visits the winning town, making a surprise appearance along with a pre-recorded video message.

"In a small town like this it would be hard to hide somebody, you know? There's only two hotels in town and somebody's going to see her," he said. "Somebody's going to see the car come into town. But It was just amazing to watch it all go down."

He also said he's excited for the show to help the small businesses in town.

"There's so many places within town that you wouldn't want to see go under because we weren't able to continue to make it," he said.

Small Business Revolution will start shooting in Fredonia on March first.
