BEMUS POINT, N.Y. (WKBW) — Chautauqua County officials say they helped rescue four men whose boat flipped over while they were hunting waterfowl on Bemus Point, Saturday morning.

Authorities say a pedestrian called 911 after the boat flipped over around 6 a.m.

Crews arrived on scene within five minutes, and upon arrival crews noticed only one man was wearing a flotation device.

All four men were experiencing hypothermia and were unable to swim.

Deputies safely rescued two of the men, while fire personnel used watercraft to rescue the other two men.

All four men are at UPMC Chautauqua Hospital being treated for hypothermia and are expected to recover fully.
