U.S. Customs and Border Protection tells 7 Eyewitness News four were arrested Sunday for allegedly making an illegal entry into the United States.
According to a spokesman for the agency, the arrests happened on Grand Island in Erie County.
We're told a fifth individual was also taken into custody and may be charged with alien smuggling.
The incident is being investigated by the U.S. Border Patrol and partnering agencies.
