Forty-three residents test positive for COVID-19 at Jamestown adult care facility

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — A total of 45 people have tested positive for COVID-19 at Tanglewood Manor, an adult care facility in Jamestown.

The majority of the cases - 43 - are tied to residents, according to the Chautauqua County Department of Health. Two staff members also tested positive.

In all, Chautauqua County is reporting 53 new cases since Saturday, which is the highest number of cases the county has recorded at one time.

Some of the residents from Tanglewood are in the hospital, but none are in the ICU, health officials said.

All residents were tested over the weekend. The facility is in the process of notifying the family members of everyone who tested positive.
