TOWN OF PERRY, N.Y. (WKBW) — A former ambulance manager in the Town of Perry has admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from ambulance funds, according to the New York State Comptroller’s Office.

Authorities say 50-year-old Darcy Conaway, of Silver Springs, pleaded guilty to petit larceny for stealing more than $5,000 from the funds.

Conaway was arrested last fall after a joint investigation by the Comptroller’s office, the Wyoming County District Attorney’s Office and Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say she used the money to pay her personal utility bills, television service and a membership for her husband.

Conaway was sentenced to a one year conditional discharge and paid restitution.
