VICTOR, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York Assemblyman Brian Kolb (R-Canandaigua) is pleading not guilty for a New Year's Eve car crash, in which he's accused of driving while intoxicated, days after he wrote a column against drunk driving.

Kolb recently resigned from his position as minority leader, after authorities say he crashed his state owned SUV into a ditch his home in Victor.

A judge has suspended Kolb's driver's license, but is allowed to drive to and from work.
