GENESEO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Mounted Patrol horse for the Livingston County Sheriff's Office who previously worked for the Erie County Sheriff's Office, has died.

"Big Spence," who was given to Livingston County Sheriff's Deputy Steph Lodgson from retired Erie County Sheriff’s Mounted Deputy Bill Pukalo, worked over 140 Buffalo Bills games.

Deputies say Big Spence died from a sudden progressive neurological condition.

Big Spence was described by the Livingston County Sheriff's Office as having an attitude, in addition to having a big heart, and strong work ethic.
