Former bank employee admits to scamming elderly customers

FORESTVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — A former bank employee now admits she scammed elderly customers.

On Monday, the Erie County District Attorney announced that 35-year-old Breanna Rohauer pleaded guilty to several counts of Grand Larceny.

Between November 17, 2017 and February 4, 2019, Rohauer, while employed as a teller at a bank in Hamburg, admitted she made unauthorized withdrawals from the bank accounts of several elderly customers, totaling $124,736 in fraudulent transactions. The victims were reimbursed by the bank.

The Forestville woman faces a maximum of 46 years in prison when she is sentenced on May 13.
