BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Forbes has released a list of top ten travel destinations for families, and Buffalo has made the list.
Forbes lists buffalo as "under-appreciated, marvelous city filled with unexpected surprises for the whole family."
"It's a place where you can have lots of fun," said 10-year-old Jacob Mohorter. "It's a place where everyone is friendly you have good neighbors
it's a very fun place to be."
Patrick Kaler, the CEO of Visit Buffalo Niagara Patrick Kaler, the CEO of Visit Buffalo Niagara says Buffalo has finally received the recognition it deserves. Kaler says part of the reason it’s so attractive for families is the affordability.
“When you look at other cities, we are still a good value compared,” he said.
The new Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Explore & More Children’s museum caught the eye of Forbes. It calls the new state-of-the-art play center an “endless array of kid-centric exploration.”
“That’s exactly what we wanted,” said Explore & More CEO Michelle Urbanczyk. “It’s the best words we could possible have asked for, because it’s about kids!”
The museum has four floors of fun and education for kids. It’s open weekends right now, but will soon be open all week long.
