DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WKBW) — City of Dunkirk police report officers were involved in a vehicle pursuit with a minor behind the wheel and other juveniles in the vehicle.
According to police, a vehicle that had been reported stolen was located near Maple Avenue and West Courtney Street around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver led police on a brief chase. Police say the vehicle later stopped in the area of Park Avenue, near East Second Street.
Police say all five individuals in the vehicle were juveniles.
All the juveniles were identified and released to a parent or guardian, according to police. The driver was taken in for further questioning with a guardian.
Police say one minor was treated for a possible panic attack.
Charges against the juveniles are pending. The incident remains under investigation.
