BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Wednesday was the first chance for Buffalo residents to take a look at a 3D-model of plans for LaSalle Park. Architects say it’s the first draft and is meant to change when they get more public input.

Architects showed a design with more soccer fields, basketball courts, access to the waterfront, and trails. They’re even looking at making a sledding hill.

“The exciting thing about a project like this, is that all those voices find their way into this work and they can see it and they can account for it,” said Bob Shirley the dean of School of Architecture and Planning at the University at Buffalo.

After May, planners will start to look at the park in more detail for things like drainage, traffic, and environmental effects.
