BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Some of Western New York's easternmost counties could take the next step in the reopening process on Friday.

Phase Two of New York state's reopening plan is expected to begin in the Finger Lakes Region.

The following businesses can reopen with many restrictions as Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming counties enter Phase Two of reopening

  • Retail
  • Hair salons and barber shops
  • Professional services
  • Finance and insurance
  • Administrative support
  • Real estate

Those restrictions play similarly to what happened with Phase One of reopening, such as PPE for employees, sanitizing stations, and allotting for proper social distancing are mandatory for all of these businesses.

Customers must also wear face masks or coverings when going into any of these businesses.

The more specific requirements for Phase Two businesses will differ depending on the business.

To make it easier, the state breaks down the specific requirements with recommendations as well.

You can read those guidelines here.

Each business owner is required to read all of the proper protocols, sign them, and make sure all employees are aware.
