Fight leads to shots fired on Buffalo State campus

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Shots were fired on the Buffalo State campus early Sunday morning following a fight, according to University police at Buffalo State.

12 individuals were involved in a fight at the intersection of Rockwell Road and Rees Street near lot R-15 just before 4 a.m. Sunday, during the fight one of the individuals fired a gun into the air.

After firing the gun the suspect fled away from campus toward the Campus Walk apartment complex.

Police describe the suspect as a black male wearing a dark hoodie with the hood up, jeans and white sneakers.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

University police say they are working with Buffalo police and are actively investigating the incident, there will be targeted patrols in the area the rest of the weekend.
