ALBION, N.Y. (WKBW) — A boy that was injured in a car crash in Albion, which also took the life of his friend is still in serious condition.

17-year-old Sean Weis has a fractured skull and a broken neck, following the crash on Eagle Harbor Road in the early morning hours of Tuesday, State Police said. His friend, 17-year-old Brennan Moody lost his life in the crash. Two other people were also hurt. Weis' father, Patrick Weis spoke with ABC affiliate, WHAM in Rochester.

“This is heartbreaking, I don’t wish this upon anyone at all,” said Patrick Weis, the father of Sean Weis. “To see your baby hooked up on machines, and be unable to help him is very hard.”

State Police say speed was a factor in the crash. According to investigators, the car hit a ditch and became airborne before hitting a utility pole with its roof.

Weis says the boys, who were all riding together have been friends for a long time.

“They were very close,” he said.

Weis says his son has so much heart and determination.

“When he first woke up, he didn’t ask about his own injuries,” he said. “He asked how his friends were doing.”
