BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — There's nothing like farm fresh vegetables and fruits in the summer time. Getting local produce from local farmers is easier than you think.

In the Queen City there are quite a bit of Urban Farms-- small acres of land that farmers grow fruits and vegetables right in the city. The patches of green can be seen in the random spots of the neighborhood.

Common Roots Urban farm is one of those farms in the Broadway Filmore neighborhood on Buffalo's East side. They grow a handful of fresh fruits and vegetables for the community. It may be the beginning of spring but the farm has already started planting onion seeds and a few other seedlings.

You can find their produce at farmers markets, at their farmstand at 309 Peckham Street, or purchase the subscription based Community supported agriculture (CSA Program). The program allows people to get farm fresh food delivered to them or available for pickup on a weekly biases.
