AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — UPDATE: UB officials say fire crews have determined the area is safe and the building has reopened. The cause of the issue was fume accumulation, due to a non-working fan.
Original: A hazardous material has been released at the Helm Facility Warehouse on University at Buffalo's North Campus, according to officials.
Anyone at the facility has been told to evacuate the area. According to an alert, the facility is not near academic buildings or residence halls.
