BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Sister of Charity Hospital held its sixth annual Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Reunion Picnic Saturday at the Buffalo Zoo.
The event provides families the opportunity to reunite and visit with the doctors and nurses who provided specialized medical care when they were in the NICU.
The NICU provides care for premature infants and other newborns with special needs.
Along with the reunion, guests enjoyed complimentary face painting, crafts and special animal presentations.
The hospital says this is a much anticipated and loved event every year.
