Erie County Sheriff's Office looking to identify driver, vehicle involved in Alden hit and run

TOWN OF ALDEN, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help regarding a hit and run in the Town of Alden Wednesday evening.

According to investigators, a vehicle hit a male at the intersection of Four Rod Road and Broadway in the Town of Alden around 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The sheriff's office says deputies located the male lying in the road at the scene. It is believed he was hit by a pickup truck, which left the scene traveling southbound on Four Rod Road. The vehicle is described as "that of an older model, light-colored pickup truck with a white bumper."

The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center and is currently listed in serious condition.
