CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Police are trying to identify the man whose body was pulled from the Niagara River.

Somebody walking along the riverwalk at Isle View Park spotted something floating in the water and called police.

Police found the body near the shore around 1:30 Saturday afternoon.

The victim is a man in his mid to late 70's.

Police say he had no wallet or identification on him.

Detectives are working on the case, and an autopsy will have to be performed to figure out exactly how he died.
