CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Erie County Sheriff's Office explosive detection K9 Viva and her handler, Deputy McClelland, met the woman who funded Viva's bulletproof vest Saturday.
Ellen Krupczyk donated funds to "Vested Interest in K9s" which in turn donated the vest to Viva.
Krupczyk's grandfather, Chet Krupczyk, was a senior tactical flight officer and patrol deputy for the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
The meeting took place at Stiglmeier Park on Losson Road in Cheektowaga.
