Erie County Sheriff's deputy arrested for promoting prostitution

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — An Erie County Sheriff's Office deputy and his wife are facing charges for prostitution.

The Sheriff's Office say the deputy, Wallace Waliczek, face one misdemeanor count of promoting prostitution and is suspended without pay.

Court Documents obtained by 7 Eyewitness News show the wife, Melissa Waliczek met up with an undercover detective in the parking lot of the Flix movie theater in Lancaster in early August. Paperwork shows she agreed to give the undercover deputy oral sex have sex with a condom in exchange for $150.00.

“On or about October 8, the Sheriff and Undersheriff issued a letter of suspension to Deputy Waliczek. The suspension took effect immediately, and it was a suspension without pay," said a Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

The sheriff's office says the ECSO Human Trafficking Task Force is leading the investigation.

Wallace Waliczek has not yet been arraigned. Melissa Waliczek was arraigned in Buffalo City Court Tuesday. She pleaded not guilty.
